Knitted hat with an oblique elastic band. Knitted hat with oblique elastic band Hat pattern with oblique loops

Almost every work involves the use of the so-called "gum". It is convenient to process the edges of sweaters, sleeves, dresses, make voluminous and warm collars, hats and scarves with it. Surely, you are already familiar with the simple options 1 x 1 and 2 x 2, so today we will master the unusual knitting patterns and descriptions of which are given below. So, how to knit an elastic band with beautiful patterns for beginners for all occasions?

Knitting French Rib for Beginners

Such an elastic band resembles the “corrugation” technique and, for all its simplicity, is quite different from the usual 1 x 1 and 2 x 2 we are used to. It can be used when finishing skirts and dresses.

Schematic representation

The number of loops is a multiple of 4 + 1 for symmetry.

For the sample, we collect with knitting needles the number of stitches, cr. 4 + 1 + 2 cr. p. (in our case, 31 p.).
1 p.: * 2 l.p., 2 i.p. *, from * to *, 1 l. P..
2 p.: * 2 i. p., 2 l. n. *, from * to *, 1 and. P..
3 p .: we start the repetition from the 1st p ..

Unusual elastic band with oblique loops

Such processing has not only a decorative effect, it is quite practical - elastic and springy, such an elastic band is suitable for processing the edge of a hat, sweater, sweater or dress.

We collect the number of loops with knitting needles, a multiple of 5 (in addition to edging).

Important! Our sample consists of an odd number of groups of 5 loops. If you decide to knit the product with an even number of "fives", shift by 1 loop.

First cr. we remove the item, we knit the last one and. P..

We repeat 3-4 rr. for a pattern.

Bias elastic band 3 x 3

This double-sided pattern is versatile and also suitable for finishing the edges of products.

For the sample, we collect the number of loops with knitting needles, a multiple of 3 + 2 edging, then follow the description.

A selection of gum patterns

And in this master class we will knit one of these hats with knitting needles. These classic braids are very easy to knit.

Cap with classic braids, knitting needles

To knit a hat, we need:

  • Yarn (meterage 200 m / 100 gr);
  • Circular needles number 4.

We collect loops on the knitting needles. Their number must be a multiple of 12.

For a head circumference of 55-58 cm, it is enough to dial 84 loops.

We connect the loops in a circle and start knitting an elastic band 2 by 2.

The height of the gum can be any. In this case, it is 8-9 cm.

Now let's move on to the pattern. We knit 9 facial loops and 3 purl. Again 9 facial and 3 purl. So we knit to the end of the row.

Then we knit in the same way according to the pattern 2 more of the same rows.

We knit the last 3 facial loops.

Then we return the loops from the additional knitting needle back to the left knitting needle.

And we knit them. We knit 3 purl (according to the figure). And we repeat the weave.

Let's knit a row like this. And then we will perform 3 rows, where we will also alternate 9 facial and 3 purl according to the pattern.

Let's do an override. Here we do it a little differently. We remove the first 3 loops of the braid on an additional knitting needle and leave them at work.

Knit the next 3 stitches. And we return the loops from the additional knitting needle back to the left knitting needle.

We knit them and knit the remaining 3 loops. We knit the next 3 purl loops in the same purl.

And knit 3 rows, alternating 9 facial and 3 purl loops.

We knit with an approximately 13-15 cm braid pattern. We finish with an overlap.

We start to subtract. In the previous row, we do not knit 1 purl. And we knit it together with the first front loop of the braid. Next, we knit the facial loops, also not tying one. We knit it together with the first purl. Then we knit the wrong loop. And repeat to the end of the row. That is, we will have only one purl loop between the braids.

Knit the next row according to the pattern.

Now let's make some adjustments again. And remove completely purl loops. To do this, we knit the first front loop along with the wrong one.

Now we will execute overlap. Here we will decrease depending on what kind of overlap we knit:

  1. If we leave loops before work, then:

We knit 1 front loop. We knit the next 2 together. We remove 3 loops on the knitting needle and leave them before work. Knit the next 2 stitches together. Next we have 1 facial. We return the loops to the knitting needle and knit the first 2 together and then 1 front.

  1. If we leave the loops at work, then:

We remove 3 loops on the knitting needle and leave them at work. We knit 1 loop of the front. Then 2 together. We return the loops from the additional knitting needle to the left knitting needle. And we knit 2 loops together and 1 front. Then again we knit 2 loops together and 1 facial.

And so we knit the whole row.

We have 6 loops left in the braids.

We continue to add.

We knit 2 loops together, then we knit the front, again the front and again 2 loops together. Repeat until the end of the row.

We have 4 loops left in each braid. Now we knit 2 loops together along the entire row.

And we tighten the hole on the thread.

Hat with braids is ready:

The described gum is good not only for hats. It can also be trimmed to various outdoor jerseys.

The technique of knitting a beautiful elastic band.

We collect loops in a multiple of 5 (except for hem loops). It should be noted that the sample contains an odd number of "fives", and the entire description is focused on such an amount. If you get an even number of such groups, then you will need to shift by one loop.

Therefore, it is better to first knit a sample (17 loops in the example) to understand the pattern, and then perform it on your product. We remove the first edge without knitting, we knit the last on the wrong side.

Working process

1. The first and second rows of gum * l, and *.

2. Having skipped the front one, we pass the knitting needle into the hole below the purl loop,

pull out the thread.

3. Yarn over.

4. We knit two loops on the left knitting needle.

5. We continue the pattern from point 2 to point 4 for each pair of loops, the last one is knitted.

6. Turn and knit rapport * purl 2 knit together purl, 1 facial *,

1 purl.

7. We continue from point 2.

8. The whole sample looks like this:

When knitting a beautiful elastic band for a headdress, the hat itself can be knitted in any way, here the main decoration is an elastic band. The rim can be made even wider than in the example. The cap does not need to be overloaded with details, therefore it is better if its canvas is even, then the charm of the gum itself is not lost, which turns out to be voluminous and rather thick. And here is a video MK from YouTube by master Lina Yartseva.

Braids are very popular this winter! Hats with braids, snoods, scarves, even mittens: everything with braids and arans! And color! If you like the gradient, then for the hat you need to take yarn as thin as possible in 3 colors in order to make a smooth transition from one color to another. We knit in several threads. The transition is carried out by gradually replacing the thread of one color with a thread of another color.

We will need circular or toe knitting needles No. 3 (for elastic, it should be knitted tighter) and No. 4, a marker to indicate the beginning of the row.

The thicker the yarn and knitting needles, the less braids will be in the hat. In my opinion, the hat looks more interesting when the braid is larger.

How to knit a braid with knitting needles.

Such a hat is knitted with braids according to this pattern. The braid consists of 12 loops. The number of purl loops before and after braids can be adjusted. You can knit completely without purl loops between the braids. This pattern is called differently: royal braid, braid with a shadow, braid.

Hat with braids, description of knitting.

Link a sample. I must say that the braids strongly tighten the fabric, so for the elastic we will collect fewer loops, and then add loops for the braids. The sample was tied, washed, dried in a straightened form. Now we count how many loops you need to dial. Measure the circumference of your head. If you knit a hat that fits snugly to your head, then subtract 3 cm, if it’s looser or you knit a spandex thread, then you don’t need to take it away.

We decided on the number of loops. Remember that the number of loops should be even if we knit with an elastic band 1 * 1, and divided by 4 if the elastic band is 2 * 2. We collect 1 loop more so that. We knit an elastic band 1 persons., 1 out. or 2 persons., 2 out. 6-7 cm or 12-15 cm if the hat has a lapel. A hat with braids will be warmer if you tie a lapel.

Next we will knit a pattern. To do this, we make increments and switch to larger knitting needles. If I cast on 96 loops on the elastic, these are 8 rapports of braids, then I will add 1 more rapport (12 loops) and between the braids 1 purl loop on both sides (more possible) +18 loops. Total: 96 + 12 + 18 = 126 loops. Now we knit according to the scheme for about 20 cm.

We do crown reduction.

Row 1: *P1, K2tog, K1, K2tog, K1, K2tog, K1, K2tog, K1, P1* Rep** 9 times

2 row: we knit 2 purl loops together with the front one, we knit the front loops with the front ones

3 row: We knit a braid already from 9 loops: where there were 4 loops, there will be 3 loops

4 row: knit according to the pattern (all facial)

5 row: * 2 together, 1 person., 2 together, 1 person., 2 together, 1 person. * Repeat ** 9 times

6 row: knit according to the pattern (all facial)

7 row: braid of 6 loops (2 loops each)

8 and 9 row: knit according to the pattern (all facial)

10 row: 2 loops together to the end of the row

11 row: braid of 3 loops

12 row: 2 loops together

13 row: 1 person., 2 together to the end of the row

We tighten the remaining loops on the needle, cut the thread, hide the tip. We send to the WTO.

You can also form the crown in a different way: We close each braid with wedges on both sides (you will have 9 wedges). Decrease as follows: we knit 2 loops together with a slope to the left, 10 persons, then again 2 loops of persons with a slope to the right, and so on until the end of the row. In the next row, we decrease again in the same way, until there are 2 sts left from each wedge. We tighten with a thread and the hat is ready with braids.

Sew on a pompom. So that it does not hang out, we sew its ends at a distance of about 5 cm from each other.

Hat with braids and snood.

Size: 53-55
Yarn: BBB full in two strands
Colour: 409
Knitted in the round, without seams.
Spokes: hat - No. 6.5; snood - No. 8
I scored 60 loops on the hat, after 14 rows with a 1x1 elastic band I added 4 loops (every 15 loops), for a multiplicity - 4 reports of 16 loops. Knit to the required length (I have 21 cm). Next, form the crown (4 cm), and close the loops.
Hat height 25 cm.
I scored 76 loops on the snood, 2 rows with a 1x1 elastic band, and then the front surface with elements of the pattern from the cap.
I finished with 2 rows of 1x1 elastic, and closed the edge with a needle.
Snood dimensions: width 28 cm (folded), height 38 cm.
Consumption: about 7 skeins
Pattern:

Option number 3

Original hat with seven braids.

To knit it, you will need NAKO Nakolen yarn 100 g / 210 m, knitting needles No. 5 circular with a shortened fishing line.

Description

We will knit without a seam from the bottom up.

We collect 81 loops, we close There are 80 loops on the knitting needles. We knit with an elastic band * 1 facial crossed, 1 purl * 7 rows (another number is possible).

In the next row we add loops for braids. We will knit all the braids, starting from the front, in the middle we will knit 2 from one loop. That is, the first braid of 4 loops: front, no longer crossed, 2 front from the wrong loop, front. The second braid of 6 loops: 2 facial, 2 facial from one, 2 facial. Then we knit according to the scheme of 40 rows.

How to knit braids with knitting needles

Now we form the crown. We decrease in each row evenly 6 loops. First, one at a time in the intervals of 5 purl loops and in a garter stitch, then in wide braids loops in the middle, then in narrow braids. Pull off the remaining 6 loops, cut the thread and hide the tip inside the cap.

Stylish two-tone knitted hat knitted in shades of gray with an oblique elastic band.

Size: head circumference 54 - 56 cm, hat height 22 cm.

You will need: 50 g each of dark gray melange and light gray melange yarn Lana Grossa S0FFIL0 (40% alpaca lamb wool, 38% sheep (merino) wool, 22% polyamide, 40 m per 50 g); a set of stocking knitting needles No. 8 and No. 9.

Rubber: alternately 2 facial, 2 purl.

Bias elastic: alternately knit 6, purl 6, while in each next circular row, shift the loops 1 loop to the right.

Stripe alternation: alternately in 1 circular row with dark gray and light gray melange thread.

Gauge, bias rib, needle size 9: 9.5 sts and 16 rounds = 10 x 10 cm.

Description of knitting hats with knitting needles

On stocking needles No. 8, cast on 48 loops with a dark gray melange thread, distribute them on 4 knitting needles (12 loops on each knitting needle), close into a ring, mark the beginning of a circular row and knit 7 cm or 10 circular rows with an elastic band, alternating stripes.

Then knit with knitting needles No. 9 with an oblique elastic band, alternating stripes, while after the 1st circular row, knit 1 crossed loop from the transverse thread and only then knit the next 5 loops with the front one, 49 loops in total.

To do this, knit as follows, the 20th circular row: in each of the 4 tracks from the front loops, knit 2 loops together with the front loop, in each of the 4 tracks from the wrong loops, knit 2 loops together from the wrong side, 41 loops in total.

Repeat such decreases 4 more times in each next circular row, a total of 9 loops.

Pull these 9 loops with a working thread. Thread the threads carefully on the inside of the cap.
