How can an individual register for public services?

The State Portal of the State Services offers users a set of electronic services. With their help, you can pay fines, issue a passport and car rights, register in an apartment, find out the status of a pension account, make an appointment with a doctor, and much more. It is not difficult for an individual to register for the State Services - you need to enter a minimum of information about yourself.

For the full implementation of some services, you still have to apply personally to the relevant department. For example, to obtain a driver's license on the State Service portal, you fill out only an application for issuance. Then, with the original documents, you must appear at the traffic police department. At the same time, the advantages of an electronic application are:

  1. You enter the data in the application on the computer, slowly, in a comfortable environment. You have the opportunity to carefully check the information you enter.
  2. You yourself specify the unit for the visit. For some services, you can immediately select the day and time of the appearance, for others it will be assigned in the invitation letter. But in any case, you do not sit in the general queue, but come at your own time.
  3. Consideration of applications submitted through the State Services is carried out by many departments on a priority or expedited basis.

The state portal is constantly growing and developing, so an account on it can be useful to everyone. You don’t have to pay anything for creating an account and using the service, everything functions for free (except for paying state fees for issuing some documents).

How to register on the website of the State Services for an individual

There are three types of accounts on the portal:

  • Simplified: limited access to reference services, payment of traffic police fines. A phone number or email address is required.
  • Standard: an extended list of services is available (including checking tax debts, an extract from a retirement account). Created according to the passport and SNILS.
  • Confirmed: full access. Identity is confirmed in a special service center or by registered mail.

Let's figure out how to sequentially create each of these records.

Simplified

In order for an individual to register for the State Services, open the portal website: gosuslugi.ru On the right side of the screen, click the "Register" button.

A simplified account creation form will appear. Enter your real name and surname using Russian or Latin letters, numbers, hyphen, space, apostrophe. Do not use fictitious aliases, as these data will be used in your requests to government agencies. Write your first and last name as they appear on your passport. If you make a typo, you can later correct the entered information in your Personal Account.

Enter your mobile phone number or email address - you don't have to fill in both fields, just one is enough. In the future, the entered parameter will serve as a login for entering the portal.

If you enter a phone number, a code will be sent to it in an SMS message to activate the profile. If you enter an email, wait for an email with a link in it. You must go to the address sent within 3 days. If the letter for activating the State Services did not arrive after 5-10 minutes, check the Spam folder in your mailbox, sometimes harmless correspondence will fall into it.

Click the blue "Register" button and wait for a code to be sent to your phone or a link to your email. After receiving them, go to the portal and activate your account.

Next, the system will prompt you to create a password for your account. The field must contain at least 8 characters, contain letters and numbers. Do not use easy sequences, your phone number, date of birth or last name as a password. After all, an account on the State Services will have to store your personal information, including document data.

Create a unique sequence that does not match your social media or email login IDs. Popular services are often hacked by hackers, who then try to enter other sites with guessed passwords. Write down the invented combination in a paper notebook, do not store it on your computer in unencrypted form.

After entering the password, a simplified account will be created and you will have access to a limited set of electronic services.

Standard

To expand your capabilities on the portal, immediately create a standard profile. It will not take much time, you only need to enter passport data and SNILS. Log in to the created account with the login (they are a phone number or email address) and the selected password. The system will prompt you to provide additional information to create a standard account. If you accidentally closed this page, you can add information in the "Personal data" section of your personal account.

Enter the date and place of birth, parameters of the passport or other identity card - series, number, by whom and when issued. Do not enter dates manually, select them in the calendar window - this will allow you to specify the information in the correct format. The SNILS number is indicated on the green card, which is issued by the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation or issued by the employer.

Save the entered data, they will be sent for verification to the units of the Federal Migration Service and the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation. It will take from several minutes to 5 days. In case of successful verification, a standard account will be created, and a message will be sent to your email or mobile phone. If the data has not been verified within 5 days, contact the State Services Support Service.

Confirmed

To register on the State Services website for an individual and get full access to all portal services, confirm your account in one of 3 ways:

  • personally at the Service Center;
  • by registered mail;
  • using an electronic digital signature (EDS) or a Universal Electronic Card (UEC).

Open your personal account, on the "Personal information" tab, click "Confirm". Choose a verification method.

Personal visit to the office allows you to quickly activate a full-fledged account. You select on the map the branch that is most convenient for you - the list includes multifunctional centers, divisions of the Russian Post and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The system will inform you about the working hours of the office, you can come there in 1-2 days after the initial registration on the portal. The specialist will check your passport, ask you to sign the form and confirm your profile. You will have access to all services of the State Services, including the entrance to your personal account on the website of the Federal Tax Service.

If you are unable to visit the service center, please request a message with a verification code. From the State Services they will send you for free registered letter by Russian Post to the specified address. Correspondence delivery time is up to 2 weeks, it is necessary to receive a message at the post office, with the presentation of a passport. After receiving the letter, enter the sent code on the portal, your account will become confirmed.

If you have an advanced qualified EDS or UEC, use them when registering at the State Services. Insert the physical EDS medium or launch the UEC cryptographic application, sign the application for profile confirmation.

Bugs and problems

Now you know how for an individual to register for public services. Sometimes in the process of creating and verifying an account, problematic situations arise:

  • Login failed. If you cannot log in to the created account, check the spelling of the login and password - the input language, the presence of spaces, the position of the "Caps Lock" key.
  • Incorrect password. If you have forgotten the correct login combination, click on the "Retrieve password" link in the authorization window. Simplified enrollment owners will receive a login code via SMS or email. If you have a standard or verified account, the system will ask you to enter the SNILS number.
  • Errors in personal data. If you made inaccuracies or typos when entering personal information, did not have time to add a number of parameters, go to your Personal Account on the portal. Click on the arrow next to your full name in the upper right corner, select "Show all personal data".
